Del río
a la cima

Volamos de Caracas a Canaima, subimos en curiara —la canoa larga de los pemones— hasta Isla Ratón, al pie del salto, y de ahí el helicóptero nos deja en la salida.

1. Día 1 · jue 18 feb

   Llegada a Caracas

   Traslado del aeropuerto a un hotel cercano. Habitación doble. Cena por tu cuenta.

2. Día 2 · vie 19 feb

   Canaima e Isla Ratón

   Vuelo temprano a Canaima y navegación en curiara río arriba hasta Isla Ratón, en la base del Salto Ángel. Noche en hamaca con mosquitero.

3. Día 3 · sáb 20 feb

   Día de salto

   Después del desayuno llega el helicóptero y sube a los saltadores a la cima del Auyantepui. 2 saltos, con guías en la cima y en la zona de aterrizaje y un médico en la LZ.

4. Día 4 · dom 21 feb

   Día de reserva

   Si el clima no dejó saltar, saltamos hoy. Si ya saltamos, día de descanso en Isla Ratón.

5. Día 5 · lun 22 feb

   Regreso a Canaima

   Navegación de 3 a 4 horas río abajo. Tarde libre en la laguna y noche en la Posada Morichal.

6. Día 6 · mar 23 feb

   Canaima a Caracas

   Vuelo a media mañana a Caracas y traslado al aeropuerto internacional con asistencia en conexiones.

El clima manda: por eso hay un día de reserva para saltar.

From the river
to the top

We fly from Caracas to Canaima, travel by curiara, the long dugout canoe of the Pemón people, to Ratón Island at the foot of the falls, and from there the helicopter drops us at the exit.

1. Day 1 · Thu Feb 18

   Arrive in Caracas

   Transfer from the airport to a nearby hotel. Double room. Dinner on your own.

2. Day 2 · Fri Feb 19

   Canaima and Ratón Island

   Early flight to Canaima and a curiara ride upriver to Ratón Island, at the base of Angel Falls. Night in hammocks with mosquito nets.

3. Day 3 · Sat Feb 20

   Jump day

   After breakfast the helicopter arrives and flies jumpers to the top of Auyantepui. 2 jumps, with guides at the exit and the landing zone and a doctor at the LZ.

4. Day 4 · Sun Feb 21

   Weather day

   If the weather stopped us, we jump today. If we already jumped, it's a rest day on Ratón Island.

5. Day 5 · Mon Feb 22

   Back to Canaima

   3 to 4 hours downriver. Free afternoon at the lagoon and a night at Posada Morichal.

6. Day 6 · Tue Feb 23

   Canaima to Caracas

   Mid-morning flight to Caracas and transfer to the international airport, with help on your connections.

Weather decides, so there's a spare day for jumping.
